19 Books Every Designer Should Own

Books

While I do feature a Resources section on this site, I don’t often talk about books. But after sitting last night with a very clever and well-read (and beautiful) girl who I’m constantly trying to impress, I’m inspired to pass along something I found a few weeks ago.

From Core 77 comes a list of 19 Books Every Design Professional Should Own. This collection covers technical, theoretical, artistic, cultural, and productive/professional. I’m ashamed to say that I’ve only read three on the list (although I don’t think we can count the Pantone Chip Book, it’s not exactly a page-turner).

But if you’re itchy for some design-oriented reading, and have money to burn, definitely check out the list. ยป
