The Lonely World of Advertising

You know those ads in Times Square? Yes, I agree, they’re incredibly assenine, but they are actually a marvel of technology. If case you’ve never given a thought to those mammoth-sized animated screens, have a look at this video.

Can you believe that building is empty? I mean, seriously, they’re missing out on tons of cash. Just think about all the tourist dollars that pass right by there. Or the solid-gold real estate that could be sold off to wealthy Saudi business men who like to spend a weekend in NYC. Seems like a waste to me.

  1. I actually agree with no letting someone live/work there. You would have to stare at that sign and $300 k.. damn.. he pays for the building every year.

    Interesting look into the technology, I wonder if you can snipe the connection and control the display.. just think of the guerrilla marketing tactics.
