New York's Visual Landscape
If New York is one big design project, then it’s to be expected that from time to time typos will occur. The most recent gaffe with a “Merser St.” sign was recently highlighted on Gothamist.

The unfortunate thing about the above sign is that it will probably stay up for several months. I mean, it’s not like they misspelled Brodway in the middle of Tims Square.
But if you’re around this week, you might want to check out the lecture from Pentagram partners Paula Sher, Michael Beirut, and Michael Gericke at the Museum of the City of New York about Designing New York’s Visual Identity. I’m gonna head to that one, should be good.
