Pun-don Underground

Oyster iPod

Oh, those British and their puns. Gotta love this new campaign for the Tube where the last names of popular singers are swapped and conjoined with the names of tube stations. Get it? Check out the mini-site from TfL.

Oyster iPod

But also take note of the visual pun of the Oyster Card as iPod. It’s worth it to note how the iPod has totally become part of the visual landscape. Without even reading the page you can spot those white headphones. It’s an iPod. And now it’s an Oyster Card. That’s the power of good branding. Am I making sense?

You know, I kinda miss the Tube — although the L train is becoming more tube-like every day.
