Do you spend hours debating with your co-workers, friends, or clients about which typefaces are better? Well, not you can end the drama once and for all.

The FontShop has produced a list of the 100 Best Typefaces, on their website and companion PDF document. A true design geek will likely be able to run down the first dozen or so, but I have to admit that half of these I’ve never used — some I’ve never even heard of!

Certainly worth a look if you’re feeling a bit stumped for fresh typefaces. Also, if you care at all about the history of typography, this is for you. Only problem is that the site is in German. Sorry.

Learned about this via the SVA Crit Blog.
