HUES: Designers of Color

HUES is a new organisation for Designers of Color. Acknowledging the facts that there are very few minorities in the profession of graphic, interior and fashion design, HUES seeks to promote and support minority designers. A professional society of sorts. Read more about them here, on their site.
There’s also a blog discussing relevant issues in graphics, interiors, fashion and digital media culture. And you may be pleased to learn that I will be writing for said blog in the areas of graphic design and digital arts. Chances are I’ll be double-posting on this site, but it also gives me the opportunity to further categorise the content — keep this site more focused on branding and design, share random quibs and internet findings on the HUES site. And of course anything relating to issues of ethnicity and promoting minority designs will wind up over there. Although I must admit, I don’t think I’ve read two words on the web about that.
