Web Typography Goes Big

Big Typography

As that web has exploded in popularity over the past ten or so years, we’ve somehow let the typographic capabilities slip. Being limited to those same 6 or so typefaces and a pure horizontal grid can be a challenge to any designer. But designers are finally breaking free and innovating in new and exciting ways. In other words, web typography is heating up.

From Smashing Magazine, a blog about web designy stuff, comes a collection of sites that feature big typography. Big usually means bold and large-scale. Chunky, retro, and daring are also words that come to mind. Have a look and be inspired.
