If you’re like me, you find yourself often very confused as to finding out the who’s who in the advertising/design business. It seems that if an agency isn’t in the news (for better or for worse) they sort of don’t exists. In other words, this info isn’t as easy to find as perhaps it should be.

I came across Agency Scoop, a site that seeks to close that gap and serve as a resource for folks like myself in the industry, looking for info on the people and agencies behind the smoke and mirrors. The site features a digg-like news feed, as well as contact info for agencies and recruiters and a rating system for each.

Since the site allows (or rather, encourages) anonymous comments, take the ratings with a grain of salt. The site is still in it’s infancy, so it hasn’t exactly reached statistical significance. Visit, and tell your friends — this seems like something useful.
