Innovative Business Cards

Pinhole

From CreativeBits comes a great collection of innovative and clever business cards. In my opinion, some of these are simply great to look at, but don’t necessarily fit into the realm of clever/witty. Defilly worth a visit.

And please try to enjoy this without thinking to yourself, as I did, “imagine what that costs!”

Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback about my own cards. They aren’t made of scrap metal from former Soviet Tanks, or anything drastic like that, but they are thicker than normal cards, by about 3x, since they are in fact triple-ply. I made them myself with two sheets of double-sided matte paper, and a sheet of oaktag (yes, from a manila folder) in between. Most people don’t look at the cross section, but it matches the colour scheme of the whole thing. Also, they are slightly thinner than normal (North American) cards, with a height of only 1.75″ instead of the usual 2″.

The most dramatic feedback comes from the non-creatives who view my card like it came out of Roswell, NM. But interestingly enough, Jay also a fan. Too thick.
