Japanese Packaging Design
Japan is awesome. Any place that sports a billboard stating “Kitty, nice, hi!” is ok in my book. And the AIGA thinks so too. The next exhibit is nothing but Japanese packaging — arranged by colour no less.
Laura and I headed to the gallery on 5th Ave. during the opening to see what all the fuss was about. Good stuff.




























I wonder how much of this is lost in translation. I mean, an coffee drink inspired by a breakaway Soviety republic? Maybe that’s something I just don’t get, being an American devil and all. Good to see KitKat holding it down worldwide.
