Code Monkey
Props beyond props to Jonathan Coulton for his Thing A Week podcast project. In short, he wrote and produced a new song every week for a year, yielding some great results.
Last week on their show, Net@Nite, Leo Laporte and Amber MacArthur introduced many of us to the song Code Monkey, which is pure brilliance. Later, it emerged there is a video for Code Monkey. Again, brilliance.
I love how this song and video capture the angst of today’s young and disilussioned knowledge workers. You can see it hits home a bit. So if you’re a workaday slob trying to make your way in the Internet economy, this one is for you. Also, this song:
